Accommodations
Cheoy Lee sailboats are known for their seagoing interiors. The aft cabin is a very comfortable and secure master while under way. The forward cabin brings the captain and first mate together when at anchor. “White Hawk” is finished in fine teak joinery, clear spruce hull ceilings, egg-shell white paneling, and soft white overhead vinyl, multiple opening ports, and a teak and holly cabin sole. She is a true ocean going yacht.
The forward cabin has a double vee berth w/filler cushion, hanging locker, storage drawers, cabinet, screened deck hatch, and brass reading lights.
The forward head is to port with a manual head & holding tank (the overboard discharge has been rendered inoperable), stainless steel sink, manual foot pump, hot and cold pressure water, molded counter top, mirror, fiberglass shower stall, cabinet, and storage shelves, stainless steel hand holds, screened deck hatch and two opening ports.
The salon’s port curved dinette makes a comfortable single berth with storage under, behind and above and outboard. The starboard settee also has storage under, behind and outboard and can serve as a single berth. The center line drop leaf table will seat six. There is a beautiful brass, kerosene hurricane lamp over the salon table. Good light and ventilation are provided by both reading and dome lights, multiple opening ports w/screens, Dorade vents, screened deck hatches and the companionway has both proper drop boards and screens. The interior grab rails make movement below decks safe and secure in a seaway.
The U-shaped galley to port has louvered storage, teak racks for wine glasses, dishes and bottles, double stainless steel sinks near center line with a cold water foot pump, hot and cold pressure water, a large insulated ice box that has been converted to cold plate refrigeration, a gimbaled, three burner Shipmate propane stove with oven.
The outboard facing navigation station w/swing out seat is to starboard across from the galley. The chart table is large with considerable storage. There is room for paper charts, repeaters or a laptop connection.
The aft port stateroom has a comfortable fore and aft double that is a perfect master suite while under way. There is good light and ventilation from a deck hatch, brass reading light, and dome light. The vanity faces the bed with additional, well thought out cabinets, drawers and cubbies for efficient use of the space. (The port jib track needs to be re-bedded and a couple of screw holes filled to resolve an aft cabin leak.) The in-suite manual head includes a stainless steel sink, manual foot pump, hot and cold pressure water, molded counter top, mirror, fiberglass shower stall, cabinet, and storage shelves, stainless steel hand holds, screened deck hatch and two opening ports.
A starboard quarter berth at the base of the companionway ladder makes a perfect sea berth for the off watch.
